C-MAP collection, 1963-1995.

The C-MAP collection contains records dealing with programs instituted at Carnegie Institute of Technology, and later, Carnegie-Mellon University, to aid economically and educationally disadvantaged students in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This collection includes research reports that evaluate the progress of the programs from their inception at the University. In addition, the collection includes extensive financial records that incorporate grant and funding applications from various corporate and government institutions. This collection contains information on the participants of the programs including administrators, faculty, staff, and students. There are several documents published by and for the participants in these programs, many of which were used to recruit and inform prospective students. There are also many newspaper clippings, which have been photocopied for preservation purposes. The collection is divided into fifteen series. Series are arranged alphabetically
